 A Brief Autobiographical Sketch
My parents believed in education and I was given the opportunity to study at the premiere schools in Barbados. I went to University at 16 and did my first degree in Law and Political Science. In my spare time while at university, I mentored children and taught adults in the use of computers and website design. I was fortunate to engage in various career opportunities during internships with several regional agencies and international organizations. I thus found myself being variously trained as I transitioned to further attachment. I gained much pleasure and satisfaction mentoring others and even at today continue teaching TOEFL classes to Spanish children where I am in Spain.
In 2018, I started to plan a new direction for my life that would take me University to pursue my Masters in Peace.
Voyaging to Spain to progress my first degree in Peace and International Law might seem strange at first glance but this is the natural progression for my professional objective since I know that I wanted to study and advance my career in what ultimately will carry me to the United Nations. Becoming an international facilitator has been a passion of mine since I was 12 and I always dreamed of making a difference in the sphere of global citizenry. I made a clear and conscious decision to orient myself towards international or global relations as opposed to the usual confines associated with “LAW”. The journey to Universitat Jaume I in Spain took some extensive planning, and saving, but because of my desire to become a UN facilitator and arbitrator I have been planning to fulfill this step of securing my PhD at Howard University.
