Irish Aid
In Kenya
• 20 women’s groups trained to empower women on human rights and leadership and enhance advocacy on child rights, education
• 780 teachers and Boards of Management trained in 20 schools on school-based barriers, gender, disability-sensitive laws, policies protecting children
• 60 rights of the child (ROC) patrons trained, 20 new ROC clubs established and trained on child rights, life skills menstrual hygiene and nutrition with 800 children involved
• 780 children participated in the International Day of the Girl Child celebrations
• 78 teachers trained on gender pedagogy & inclusive education

• 800 ROC club members were trained on basic disaster risk reduction
• 240 Board of Management and community gatekeepers trained on disaster risk reduction
• 2,342 community member in Turkana and 894 in Kajiado participated in the bi-annual
community forums with county government officials on DRR and drought mitigation

• 4 local CBOs/organizations supported in their organizational development on the themes of climate change, child protection, education; 20 participants were trained on women and girls’ empowerment, gender equality, inclusive education, advocacy on good governance, community land rights, Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs), climate change
• 20 participants of the Area Advisory Council (AAC) (an established Government structure at sub county level) trained in child protection
• 35 participants in bi-annual meetings with county steering group/technical working groups on child protection and education sectors

Immersion
Participating students
• 35 students and their teachers from Blackrock College participated in an immersion program in Kenya
Bank of Ireland
• 11 staff from Bank of Ireland participated in a bespoke immersion visit to communities who benefited from the Let Girls Learn Project
Self-funded by participating Board members
• 7 members of Aidlink Board of Directors participated in an immersion visit supporting good governance and the meeting of partners and stakeholders in Kenya
