Net income for the financial year was a deficit of (87,261), reflecting expenditure of restricted income received in 2022, compared to a net deficit of (€3,514) in 2022. The total income for the financial year 2023 was €952,285, which is up €57,610 from €894,675 in 2022. The total income includes Aidlink’s draw down of year three of Irish Aid’s Civil Society Fund grant of €380,000. The conditions of this contract mandate that the funding be allocated to the ‘Every Girl in School’ project in Kajiado and Turkana counties, Kenya. This programme was delivered in conjunction with our long-term partner, Girl Child Network.
In 2022, Aidlink was successful with an application to the Bank of Ireland Staff Charitable fund in respect
of a special one-off project “Let Girls Learn” (2022 -2023) in partnership with the Girl Child Network, Kenya. A total amount of €350,000
was approved, with €200,000 drawn down in 2022 and the remaining €150,000 drawn down in 2023.
