About the founder: 1954 I started as a shampoo boy at the John Cornell salon in Southall. 1956 I went
to work for French of London Park Lane Mayfair. 1959 I asked for an early call up to do my national
service where I trained with the 16th/5th Royal Iniskilling Dragoon Guards before moving to Monty’s
8th tank regiment. 1961 After national service John Cornell approached me to manage his son’s new
Mayfair salon in conduit street W1. I accepted immediately; everything in the 1960’s to the 1980’s was
PerfecTress ® about being a precision cutter and I could not wait to get started. 1964 I opened my first hair salon at

portrayed in Vogue and Harpers. Kings road was a breath of fresh air. The youth of 1978 changed
everything, they created their own clothing and hairstyles to suit the new music phenomenon “PUNK”.
Most hairdressers hated the looks and would not have them as clients. I immediately saw the art in it as

1981 I began to sit in on L’Oreal brainstorming meetings. 1983 I Created the professional product

product Visi-Colour for Matrix. 2005 I went into digital media and began by becoming the Fellowship
for British Hairdressing official photographer. 2006 I created the Fellowships first A4 magazine (Print

2020. After communicating with my old partners, PerfecTress International Limited (Hong Kong) we
agreed to work together to create the ultimate hair colour training program. The PerfecTress Colour
College London consists of three parts to form the ultimate hair colour training program. All major
hair colour brands have approximately 75 colours in their basic hair colour range. However, in the time

allowed and the limited supply of hair models there is usually only time to teach just one colour with
 1980 1981 1983 1990 hands on.

The PerfecTress 100% human hair testing strips make it a possibility to test all 75 colours in a hair
colour range on all 9 base shades. The stainless steel testing stand allows you to work on up to three
different testing strips at the same time, the testing stand is heat proof so ideal for putting under a
climazone. The final part is the PerfecTress Colour College London website containing the 1,000’s of
formulas needed to complete the course.
