Many of our shampoos and conditioners also contain hydrolysed keratin,
again this is extracted from sheep’s wool, unlike many inferior hydrolysed
keratins. Hydrolysed keratin is extracted by using heat to extract it,
unfortunately this makes it inactive so does not bind or penetrate the hair
shaft as oxidised keratin does. When shampooing the hair with bhave
shampoos, the cuticle opens, and the bio active Keratin goes in. Because of
its low molecular weight, it is able to penetrate the cortex and continues to
repair the hair. The conditioners add another level of Bio active keratin to
the cuticle layer and helps seal the cuticle, locking it all in. Again, they are
all Very Lightweight.
