One of my fondest memories of Chithappa will be witnessing his dancing at
Mathavan’s birthday whilst knocking back whiskies during ‘dance breaks’.
Somehow always full of energy it felt like the relationship we had was more
akin to a friend my age rather than a granduncle.
He was someone I felt comfortable asking advice from and unquestionably
was there for me as a boy growing up. His sharp-minded wit will be missed
by all and I will always be grateful for the lessons of life that I have learned
from him.

Mama was one of the few who talked the talk and walked the walk. An approach to life we have all tried to emulate. Together with his other characteristics of generosity, perseverance, and most of all, sacrifice.
My life changer — without you Mama, I wonder where I would've been now? Mama (and Mami), gave an identity to my life, with which I in turn, along with my brothers and sisters, brought my family out of darkness.
