These are some of the phrases Julie Richards uses to describe the time she has spent in China. She craves to know what Jesus knew, yearns to spread her arms wide as Jesus does and knows that sometimes something as simple as just showing up requires great sacrifice. Julie will not rest and sit tight waiting for others to do what she knows must be done.
China, a place where preaching the Gospel is forbidden, offers Julie a way to share the love of Christ fully through her actions. Whether that is by cleaning rooms in an orphanage, providing groceries to foster families, or providing aid to those in need, she knows God is using her to plant seeds. She has taken many trips to China. She is often asked “Why do you come?” Her reply is simply, “For you.”
