“I have been connected the United Methodist Church since I was in my early teens. I watched my dad and stepmom serve selflessly for years. I have learned that God gives each of us spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, and experiences that, when used to their fullest potential, spreads God’s love to others. When I learned how Scioto Ridge uses laity to help support the church’s mission through a leadership board, I recognized an opportunity to use my leadership skills to serve God and others. Through prayer and listening, I heard a clear calling to step out in faith and apply. Serving others in this way is enjoyable to me and I’m glad I responded to the call.” -Holly Meister
Jeff Wolf, Endowment Team Chairperson, takes his vow of church membership to heart. The commitment to serve, sacrifice, and give are not just empty words to him. He was asked to use his talent of leadership and serve our congregation in a very genuine way. For Jeff, it was an honor to be asked and a privilege to serve.
