‘She only reluctantly accepted the new pups in the pack. On the moment there is no real pack leader. She loves the quiet dogs. She is not the leader and not a follower. She is confident in herself and cannot be bothered taking the responsibility for the pack. If something goes on in the pack, she watches from a distance. We always wanted her to be the pack leader but it never worked.
When one day another dog went for one of our new pups she would have killed this dog: she was so cross she would have fought to the death. She always remembered this dog afterwards. She is happier since we moved away from where this dog lived. (It was a neurotic, bad dog).
She always goes up to other dogs to talk with them. She loves male dogs. In a hunting pack she would be a winner, keep to the flank and work calm and confidently. She plays
with all our other dogs. She is not afraid of anything.
She cannot eat meat: she will develop colitis. She only has fish. This started at the age of 4. Moving to fish also improved the anal gland problem.
Bella is very expressive: I can read her exactly. She is very close to us; when there is something wrong she will be close to us. She is Mrs’ dog and will only work for Mr when she is in the mood. She works better in pairs where she would prefer to be the second dog. She is not ambitious. When you work her (Agility) and you are 100% concentrated she is fantastic, otherwise she doesn’t work well.
When we walk her she can get bored in the wood. When she finds a stick, it is the biggest you can imagine. She will dance; she is full of joy and life. She will dance on her own at home.
We think the irritation of the vulva has come after the anal gland problem. When we apply borax powder it goes immediately. She is intelligent; once she stopped the other dogs from going on the ice. There is an affectionate rivalry between the cat and Bella: the one will stop the other form sitting near to Mrs. She shows how much we are more important than the agility. We agree that psychologically she is good’.
Solution
A few straight-forward things stand out in the case:
• You don’t hear often saying that a dog dances (Mind,
dancing)
• She has no ambition (Mind, Loss of ambition),
• She cares/is anxious about her family (group: Mind,
cares, anxiety, love, fear family),
