Çré Vraja-réti-cintämaëi

               ürdhva-ürdhva—one above the other; geha—buildings; upari—above;
               geham—palace; evam—in this way; tat—this; païca—five; çat—six;
               añöa—eight; nava—nine; ati—very; citram—wonderful; sarvatra—
               everywhere; madhye—in the middle; vara—excellent; karëika—whorl;
               vat—like; samantataù—everywhere; añöau—eight;  dala—petals;  vat—
               like; prakoñöhaù—courtyards.
            This  palace  has  many  wings  five,  six,  eight,  or  even  nine  stories
            high. Each wing has a courtyard shaped like a lotus whorl with eight
            petals.

                             pare pare 'nye ca tathaiva koñöhäù
                              sevä-paräëäà çayanädi-niñöhäù
                              tan-mandirasyätula-saubhagasya
                             syüù präìgane 'ñöäv api mandiräëi


               pare pare anye—-others; ca—also; tatha—in that way; eva—certainly;
               koñöäù—courtyards; seva—to service; paräëäm—devoted; çayana-ädi-
               niñöhäù—with resting places; and other rooms; tat-mandirasya—of
               the palace; atula—incomparable; saubhagasya—of beauty; syüù—is;
               präìgane—in the courtyard; añöau—eight; api—also; mandiräëi—palaces.

            The residential quarters of the devotees overlook these courtyards.
            Within the beautiful palaces' courtyards again there are eight
            smaller palaces.

                            täny añöa-dig-gäni sumadhyagaà tat
                              svakéya-çäkhädibhir eva nityam
                              sväìgeñu saìgopayate drumo 'sau
                                lélänukülebhya åte janebhyaù


               täni—they; añöa—eight; dik—in directions; gäni—placed; su-madhya-
               gam—nicely situated in the middle; tat—that; svakéya—own; çäkhä-
               ädibhih—with extensions; eva—certainly; nityam—eternal; sva-aìgeñu—
               with its extensions; sangopayate—protects; drumaù—tree; asau—this;
               lélä—pastimes; anukülebhyaù—favorable; åte—without; janebhyaù—
               from persons.
