Markus Stobbs
VP, Software Engineering
Markus has a wide range of experience as a soft- ware professional, having served departments across the corporate spectrum, including web engineering, product marketing, and scientific computing. He managed the Web Engineering Group at the National Center for Atmospheric Research for 10 years, managing a team of software engineers, DBAs, and
sysadmins in the development of custom Java web applications, Drupal-based websites, and online collaborative tools. Before that, he developed an e-commerce platform for Incyte Genomics, managing a $10M development budget. He began his career building technical support and product marketing websites for Claris, now FileMaker, Inc., an Apple Computer subsidiary, and built an early Macintosh Products Directory for Apple.
Markus received his BA from University of Michigan in Psychology.
He has been a meditation practitioner in the Hindu and Buddhist traditions for over 30 years. In his free time, he hikes the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and is an avid photographer.
