DI - 354 Diagnosis - Diagnosis-fault diagnosis of electronic and electrical parts

Diagnosis procedure
1. Check the air filter indicator lamp.

a. Check whether the air filter is dirty. If dirty, replace with new air filter.
b. Check whether the intake resistance of air intake system is excessive. If excessive, eliminate this fault.
c. Start the engine.
Check whether the air filter indicator lamp keeps on or is off.

Yes> (always on) to Step 2.
No>(not bright) go to Step 4.
2. Check if the signal circuit of air filter indicator is short

a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Disconnect the connector F025 of air filter blocking alarming lamp switch.

c. Ignition switch: ON.
Check whether the air filter indicator lamp is off.
Yes>replace the alarming lamp switch of air filter blocking.
NO>go to Step 3.

3. Check if the signal circuit of air filter indicator is short
a. Disconnect the combination instrument connector B014.

d. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance between 1#
terminal of air filter blocking warning lamp switch
connector F025 and earthing.
Standard resistance:

Multimeter connecting terminal Standard value

F025(1)-grounding >1MΩ

Check if the result is ok?

Yes>go to Step 4.
NO>repair or replace the signal circuit.
4. Check the air filter indicator lamp signal and earth circuits for open circuit.

a.Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Disconnect the connector F025 of air filter blocking alarming lamp switch.

c.Ignition switch: ON.
