Failure phenomenon Phenomenon description
With the ignition switch at "ON" position, the horn keeps
Horn always sounds
sounding
Diagnosis procedure
1. Check the horn relay
a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Disconnect the relay R04 of horn and check the conduction with a multimeter.
c. Use a multimeter to measure the conductivity between
30# and 87a# terminals of horn relay R04.
Standard resistance:
Storage battery voltage Standard value
Do not apply voltage on relay
About 0Ω
85 and Terminal 86
d. Use a multimeter to measure the conductivity between
30# and 87a# terminals of horn relay R04.
Standard resistance:
Storage battery voltage Standard value
Battery positive pole connecting
to Terminal 85 and negative About 0Ω
pole connecting to Terminal 86
Check if the result is ok?
Yes>go to Step 2.
NO>repair or replace the horn relay.
2. Check the horn switch
a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Disconnect the connector B033 of horn switch.
c. Check if the contact of horn switch can contact normally.
Check if the result is ok?
Yes>find reasons from other failure phenomenon.
NO>repair or replace the horn switch.
