GENERAL INSPECTION

1. Release the fuel pressure
PROMPT:
The fuel in the fuel system remains under high pressure even when the engine is not
working.
(a). Remove the fuel filler cap and release the pressure in the fuel tank.
(b). Turn off the ignition switch.
(c). Remove the fuel pump relay or fuse from the fuse box.
(d). Start the engine till the engine shuts down by itself.
(e). After shutdown, start the engine for 2~ 3 times and make sure that the engine
can’t be started. 12C
NOTICE：
When restarting the vehicle, each time the ignition switch shall not be located at the
start position for more than 10s; otherwise the engine or starter may be damaged.
(f). Install the fuel pump relay or fuse.

2. Check the system pressure
(a). Turn off the ignition switch.
(b). Release the fuel pressure.
(c). Remove the rail pressure sensor.
(d). Connect the fuel pressure gauge.
(e). Start the engine, and the pressure read from the fuel pressure gauge shall be
15MPa.
NOTICE：
If the pressure value is lower than 15MPa, check the system.
(f). Press the pressure release button on the fuel pressure gauge, then the system
pressure will be released.
(g). Install the rail pressure sensor.
