SPARK PLUG

CHECKING

1. Clean the spark plug
(a). Clean the spark plugs with a brush.
NOTICE:
Don’t apply any force between the electrodes,
otherwise it may damage the center electrode.

2. Check the spark plug
(a). Check the threads of spark plug for
damages. If they are damaged, replace the
spark plug.
(b). Check the surrounding area of spark plug
electrode for presence of serious carbon
deposit. If yes, replace the spark plug.
(c). Check the spark plug electrode for
presence of serious ablation. If yes, replace
the spark plug.
(d). Check the ceramic insulator of spark plug
for presence of damage and cracking. If
yes, replace the spark plug.

(e). Check the gap of spark plug electrode. If
beyond the standard value, repair or
replace.
Standard value: 0.80~0.90mm
