62-384 DIAGNOSIS-LIGHTING SYSTEM

Symptom description：
Whether or not turn combination switch to "Small light" position, the position lamps at two
sides and in the rear and front are always on.

Diagnosis Procedure

1. Check the short circuit to the power supply of the harness

(a). Turn combination switch aside away from "Small light" position.

(b). Use a multimeter to measure the voltage
ON between No. A5 terminal of connector C54

v and the ground.
Standard voltage: (check whether there is
a short circuit)

Is the inspection result normal?
Yes>To step 2.
No >Repair the harness short circuit to the power supply between C54 and A03, A28, D52,
D54.

2. Check the combination switch

(a). Turn combination switch aside away from "Small light" position.
(b). Disconnect the combination switch connector C16.

(c). Use a multimeter to measure that the
continuity between No. 11 terminal and No.
OFF T.S
19 terminal of combination switch shall not

Is the inspection result normal?
Yes>Find the causes from other symptoms.
No >Replace the combination switch.
