WIRING - INTRODUCTION TO CIRCUITS 71-3
* The system shown here is only an example system, and differs from actual system
circuit diagrams.
Note
NO. Name Description
System names are designed to distinguish different systems and
1 System name
functions, which can be easily found.
Normally, the wire uses a signal color or dual color. So to distinguish
wires of different functions and for ease of search and repair.
2 Wire color
E.g.: R (Red)
Blue - Black (Blue and Black)
Defining the name of the electrical component according to its
Electrical compo-
3 function, easy to find. An electrical component only corresponds
nent name
to one name.
71
Define the wire number according to the harness belonging to the
electrical component connector, easy to find. E.g., the hazard switch
4 Component no. connector is a 6-pin connector that belongs to the body harness.
The body harness is defined as B harness, therefore the hazard
switch no. should be B001.
Determine the sequence of electrical component connector pins,
easy to find and repair. The conventional sequence is: the socket
sequence for electrical components (unless otherwise specified).
Electrical component sockets.
Connector pin of
5 the electrical
component
Harness connector
This sequence fits for the connector numbering too.
It is the connecting point between the electrical component return
6 Earth point wire and the metal part of the vehicle's body. The numbering differs
subsequently depend on the position of the earth point.
