04-378 DIAGNOSTICS - ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM

           YES>To step 6.

No > Clean the injector. Check the working conditions of the injector again. If the
injection is still abnormal, replace the injector.

6 . Check pressure of the fuel system
           (a) Check pressure of the fuel system. ( Refer to " Chapter 13 Fuel system, Precaution")
      04
           Is the inspection result normal?
           YES>To step 8.
NO >Repair or replace fuel system components. If the pressure is too low, go to step
           7.

7 . Check the fuel supply of the fuel system
           (a) Check whether it has leakage or block in the oil inlet or not.
           (b) Check whether the fuel filter is blocked or not.
           Is the inspection result normal?

           YES>To step 8.
No >Clean and change the default parts.

8 . Check the intake and exhaust system
           (a) Check whether it leaks of the engine intake and exhaust systems or not.
           (b) Check whether the intake tube is disconnected, cracked, deformed or sealing aged
                  or not.
           (c) Check whether the intake pipe has the leakage sound of "hissing " when runs.
           (d) Check that the positive crankcase ventilation valve (PCV) hose leaks and check whether
                  the PCV open too much.
           (e) Check whether EGR system leaks.
           (f) Check whether turbocharger system leaks.
           (g) Check whether exhaust system is blocked.
           (h) Check whether throttle body seal leaks.
           (i) Check whether intake manifold gasket leaks.
           Is the inspection result normal?

           YES>To step 9.
No >Repair and replace the default parts.

9 . Check the coolant temperature sensor, intake mass flow sensor and intake
                  manifold absolute pressure temperature sensor.
           (a) Check the coolant temperature sensor , intake mass flow sensor and intake manifold
                  absolute pressure temperature sensor.
           (b) Remove the coolant temperature sensor, intake manifold absolute pressure temperature
sensor and intake mass flow sensor.
           (c) Check whether the sensing hole is blocked or not, and whether the resistance between
the terminals is in line with the standard or not.
           (d) Check the coolant temperature sensor , intake mass flow sensor and intake manifold
absolute pressure temperature sensor are dirty.

                                                                                                         Page 524
