DIAGNOSTICS - ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM 04-405
GENERATOR IS OVER CHARGED

Diagnosis Procedure
1 . Check the engine data
(a) Ignition switch: OFF.
(b) Connect the diagnosis tool with the fault diagnosis connector (16 pins) on the lower
left of the dashboard.
(c) Ignition switch: ON, and start the diagnostic tool.
(d) Read the motor data shown on the diagnostic tool.
Check whether the data flow is normal or not.
YES>To step 2.
No >Maintenance related faults.
2 . Check battery
(a) Check whether battery status is normal.
(b) Check whether the positive and negative cables of battery are installed correctly.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 3.
No >Maintenance related faults.
3 . Check generator and its harness
(a) Check whether the generator can work properly.
(b) Use a multimeter to measure whether the harness between the generator and the
battery are normal.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 4.
No >Maintenance related faults.
4 . Replace ECM
(a) Replace ECM. (Refer to "Chapter 11 Engine control system, Engine control module")
(b) Check the data flow of the engine, and make sure the engine phenomenon does not
exist, the system is normal.
