           CRANKCASE GAS (CHANNELING GAS) OVERLOAD

Fault phenomenon Diagnosis logic Possible reasons
                                            • Crankcase ventilation • Crankcase ventilation
                                              system system fault

04 Crankcase gas (channeling • Valve oil seal • Valve oil seal fault
gas) overload • Piston ring • Piston ring fault
                                            • Valve guide pipe • Valve guide pipe fault
                                            • Piston • Piston fault

           Diagnosis logic

1 . Check the engine data
           (a) Ignition switch: OFF.
           (b) Connect the diagnosis tool with the fault diagnosis connector (16 pins) on the lower
                  left of the dashboard.
           (c) Ignition switch: ON, and start the diagnostic tool.
           (d) Read the motor data shown on the diagnostic tool.
Check whether the data flow is normal or not.

           YES>To step 2.
           No >Maintenance related faults.

2 . Check crankcase ventilation system

           (a) Check whether crankcase ventilation system has phenomenon of gas channeling.
           Is the inspection result normal?

           YES >Maintenance related faults.
           NO >To step 3.

3 . Check valve oil seal

           (a) Check whether the valve oil seal is damaged.
           Is the inspection result normal?
           YES>To step 4.

           No >Maintenance related faults.

4 . Check valve guide pipe
           (a) Check whether the valve guide pipe is damaged.

           Is the inspection result normal?

           YES>To step 5.
           No >Maintenance related faults.

           5 . Check piston
           (a) Check whether piston is damaged or not.

           Is the inspection result normal?
