DIAGNOSTICS - REAR WINDSCREEN DEFROST SYSTEM 04-667

(a) Ignition Switch: ON.
(b) Pull out start and cut-off relay R04 inside fuse box of body.

(c) Measure the voltage based on the value in
the following form.
Standard voltage 04

Multimeter connection Multimeter connection

R04 (3) - ground Battery voltage

Check whether the result is normal?
Yes> go to step 4

No > Maintenance or replace harness.

4 . Check the relay
(a) Disconnect battery negative cable.
(b) Pull out rear windscreen defrost relay R01 inside fuse box of body.

(c) Check rear windscreen defrost relay R01.

Standard resistance:

Multimeter
Specified
Conditions connection value
stitch

Normal
situation 85 - 86 Breakover

Apply power
supply voltage
to position 30 - 87 ＜ 2 Ω
between stitch
85 and 86,

(d) Pull out start and cut-off relay R04 inside fuse
box of body.
