62-82 DIAGNOSIS-REVERSING RADAR
REVERSING RADAR
NOTICES
1. Reasons for the malfunction of reversing radar system's detection function:
(a). The reversing radar sensor is covered by impurities such as mud or snow (The
detection function will return to normal after cleaning the sensor).
(b). The reversing radar sensor is frozen (The detection function will return to normal
after the sensor temperature rises).
(c). The reversing radar sensor is covered.
2. The detection range is affected by the following conditions:
(a). The reversing radar sensor is covered by impurities such as mud or snow.
(b). The vehicle is in extremely hot or extremely cold region.
3. Detection error may occur to the reversing radar sensor, for example:
(a). Drive in a bumpy road, unpaved road or tall grasses.
(b). The horn sound from another vehicle, motorcycle engine sound, air brake sound of
oversize vehicle or ultrasonic wave of another vehicle's sonar are transferred near
the vehicle.
(c). Rain heavily, or the reversing radar sensor contacts with water.
(d). The vehicle sharply tilts.
(e). The vehicle is installed with purchased crash bar or wireless movement antenna.
(f). The reversing radar sensor is covered by impurities such as mud or snow.
(g). The vehicle is moving towards the angular position of object.
4. The reversing radar sensor can not detect a certain objects:
(a). Thin objects such as line and rope.
(b). Materials that can absorb ultrasonic wave such as cotton and snow.
(c). Objects with sharp edges.
(d). Short and small objects.
5. Other precautions
(a). The reversing radar sensor can not detect the objects right under the bumper.
(b). The reversing radar sensor can not detect the obstacles with too near distance.
(c). When the reversing radar sensor drops out or affected by violent collisions, it may
be unable to detect the obstacles.
