FUEL TANK

DRAIN THE FUEL TANK

CAUTION

• When removing the fuel tank, drain the fuel tank by the following means, if there
is much fuel in tank. If no much fuel in tank, remove the fuel tank directly without
draining the fuel.

1 . Release the fuel pressure. (Refer to "Chapter 12 Fuel - Fuel System, precaution")
2 . Disconnect the battery negative cable. (Refer to "Chapter 20 Starting and
Charging - battery, replacement (MT/AT)")

1 . Pull the sliding door handle of the fuel tank
cap located next to driver's feet, unlock
the fuel tank cap.

1 . Anti-clockwise screw out the fuel tank filler
cap.

1 . Push the fuel suction device into the fuel
tank to the bottom, and clean up the fuel
in the tank as soon as possible.
2 . Pull out the fuel suction device carefully.
