16-18 EXHAUST - EXHAUST MANIFOLD
(c) Along diagonal a, b, check the flatness of the
cylinder head joint plane and exhaust manifold
side. Replace the cylinder head if it is not
required.
CAUTION
• When measuring the flatness on the
exhaust manifold, measure the flatness
on the cylinder head.

14 . Visual inspection:
(a) Check the exhaust manifold for the following conditions. Replace damaged components
if necessary:
• The upper part of the exhaust manifold is structurally damaged or racked on
the surface.
• The upper sealing joint surface of the exhaust manifold is damaged, resulting
in poor sealing.
15 . Install a new exhaust manifold gasket.
16 . Install the exhaust manifold, tighten the
fixing bolt module.
