20-8 STARTING AND CHARGING( - STARTER
(d) When the starter starts to rotate, observe
whether the star pinion moves outward in the
direction of the arrow and rotates in the
direction of the arrow.
If no movements, replace the starter.
9 . Tighten the fixing bolt of starter.
Torque: 43 N·m

10 . Install the starter power terminal
connecting wire nut, and tighten it.
Torque: 10～12 N·m
11 . Install the starter control line connector.
12 . Lower the vehicle.
13 . Connect the battery negative cable (refer to“ Chapter 18 Starting and charging
- Replacement, battery”).
