Self –introduction is concerned with telling about yourself. It is also defined

as the act of introducing or the state of being introduced. There are several places
or situations where self-introduction required. Some other places are first day in
the class or new places, before making a speech, or sending a penpal letter for the
first time.

Social Function of Self-Introduction
The social function of self-introduction is to introduce and mention identity in
order to develop interactional communication with others.

Structure of Self-Introduction

1. Introduction(name and hometown)
2. Body (background and personal detail, such as hobbies and interests.
Sometimes people mention few information about their family)
3. Conclusion, (future goals)
When we present self-introduction, we mention some information
about our self-identity, and sometimes we mention our kinship.

about self-identity.
