Activity 2 Reading Conprehension

Penpals are people who regularly write to teach other, particularly via postal mail.
When you become acquitted with a stranger through a friendly and regular
correspondence, this person becomes your penpal. Penpals can be just about
anybody. People may seek new penpals based on their interests and hobbies or

               their occupation.

               Read the following letter carefully!
                                                                                Jakarta, January 16, 2019
               Dear, Rita,
Hello, I’ve seen your name in the soapbox site, so I was wondering if you
would like to be my penpal. I like to have penpals from other countries. By the

way, let me tell you something about myself. My name is Amalia. Everybody calls
               me Lia.
I’m sixteen years old. I live with my parents and an order sister. I’m in tenth
grade now. My favorite subject is history. In my spare time I enjoy reading books.
I also like travelling and collecting souvenirs. I live in Jakarta, Indonesia. The
weather is hot but sometime it is warm. This month is rainy season. Everyday
rains hard. Tell me about you. What do you do in your spare time. I know you live

in Canada. How is the weather there?
Well, I think this gives you an idea of which I’m, of course I will tell you more
in my next letter if you’ll decide to write back. If you don’t want to be my pal. I
would appreciate if you could send me just a little e-mail to let me know. I look
forward to your response. Thanks a lot.
