"When people in numbers, like those here at CAS, choose
to practice, integrate and embody gratitude the
cumulative force that is generated can help create the
kind of world we all hope for and desire for ourselves
and for future generations.
The benefits of living a grateful life are unquestionable.
Gratitude includes several qualities. They are
thankfulness, appreciation, compassion, generosity,
grace, courage, authenticity, humility confidence and
other positive attitudes.
Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is
the complement of thankfulness. Thankfulness may
consist of merely words. Gratitude goes further and is
shown through actions.
The world has enough beautiful mountains and
meadows, spectacular skies and lakes. It has forests,
flowered fields and sandy beaches. It has plenty of stars
and the promises of a new sunrise and sunset. What the
world needs more of is for everyone to appreciate and
enjoy it and most of all take care of it.
