This is another bowline knot that can be used to join two
ropes together, but this time they should be of a similar size
and design. It is not as chunky as the regular bowline and is
therefore less likely to catch on objects such as jagged rocks. BowlInes and Bends

opposite working end
and standing part. . .

working end through the
loop you have just made.

Tighten both knots so
that the section between
them is pulled taut.
