                     ‘ Energy efficient , Lighting System’









        The main function of electrical distribution system is to provide electrical power from the local, Tenaga

        Nasional Sdn.Bhd (TNB),to the building. It consist of the switchgear, transformer Main Switch Board
        (MSB). It must be maintained by the qualified person in electrical engineering known as KCJ

        Engineering

                                      DAYLIGHT RESPONSIVE CONTROL


        The general lighting system is designed to be daylight responsive in the most optimal way as to

        maximize daylight usage. This means reducing the lighting energy consumption as much possible

        ensuring visual comfort for occupants. The lighting control strategy installed for MKR in the day-lit

        zone are:

                       Manual on - The light only switches on when occupants press the switch

         Automatic off - The light switches off automatically when there is enough daylight measured by a light
                                                          sensor.

        The reason for the ‘Automatic on’ and ‘ Automatic off’ control strategy is for energy efficiency really

        require and ask for it. The reason being that most people can work at level below the code

        requirement of 300lux and if not in use they can switch on their individual task light instead of having

        all the general lighting to be switched on

                                             30% OF SPACES DAY-LIT



        At least 30% of the building will be day lit. The day lit environment does not require the electrical light

        to be switched on, which is partly due to the very transparent interior design of the building. Daylight
        is thus entering from the façade. This gives a pleasant working environment for the occupants while

        saving energy as well
