Happy birthday!
Gone, but not forgotten. Best memories from the
Jackson family.
MRS. DOROTHY MAE HOLTON (DOT)
Mrs. Dorothy Mae Holton, (Dot) was born in Bascom, FL, on August 22, 1940, to the proud parents of the late Mas- ter D and Alberta Singleton.
Dorothy was educated in the Bascom County Public School System. She was a very hard and dedicated worker.
Dorothy was united in matrimony in 1958 to the late Albert Holton, Sr., until his passing in 1993. From that union four beautiful children were born: Gloria, Christina, Albert, Jr. and Toby.
Dorothy was employed for 33 years at Tampa General Hospital, up until she be- came ill in November 2012.
Blessed are the pure in heart and the pure in heart was Dorothy. She had a love for sports, especially the Tampa teams and you could find her on any given Sunday watching a football game or two.
Her love for her family was at the upmost high, just to see them would bring a twinkle to her eye. Her joyful laugh would fill even a stranger’s heart with con- tentment. She was there whenever you needed her, no matter who called.
Dorothy was introduced to God at an early age and stayed committed through- out her life. She was a loyal and faithful member of Oak Hill M. B. Church, where she stayed committed through- out her life.
Dorothy was preceded in death by: her parents, Master D and Alberta Singleton.
She was also preceded in death by: her brother, Eddie D. Singleton; and two sisters, Vergiline Williams and Ida Mae Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her two sons, Al- bert Holton (Valerie), and Toby Holton; two daughters, Gloria Kelly (Michael), and Christine Warmack of Tampa; as well as all of her grandchildren in descending order; Kamilya Mathieu (Emmanuel), Mashonda Watson, Ronisha Rackard, Mikia Kelly, Sierra Wor- mack, Rashad Hodo, Toby Holton, Jr., Marcus Holton, Tavonna Holton, and LaTonya Wright (Cornelius); her eight great grandchil- dren; two brothers, Christo- pher Singleton (Annie), and Robert Singleton (Hazel); two sisters, Jenniette Mathis and Hazel Singleton; two aunts, Lillie Ruth Sims and Dolly Weiser Stafford; a host of nephews and nieces and cousins; and other sorrowing friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held Fri- day, May 1, 2015, at Oak Hill M. B. Church, 4202 East Pal- ifox Street, Tampa.
The homegoing service will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 11 a. m. at Greater Friendshipth M. B. Church, 4413 N. 35 Street, Tampa, Rev. Madison Murray, pas- tor, with Rev. Victor Ball, of- ficiating and eulogist.
