Women’s Empowerment Summit
Lady Paula Watkins, along with her husband and children, are excited because she recently had her 40th birth- day celebration event that was purposed to bring greater awareness to women in the community through gospel music, by highlighting artist and
ministries both local and abroad.
There was a Women’s Em- powerment Summit, followed by a gospel concert and Mrs. Watkins, a Tampa native, is a world renowned gospel artist, music workshop clinician, mother and wife. Mrs.
Watkins had a dream and vi- sion to help everyone reach their destiny through outreach, summits, conferences and more.
The dream came true on Saturday, August 29th when Mrs. Watkins and her hus- band, Elder Dominic
Watkins, hosted over 200 women at her first annual Women’s Empowerment Sum- mit: “Love Yourself to Life.”
The summit was free and designed to increase awareness, motivate, educate and empower women, ages 13 and up. There were speakers, vendors, part-
ners, giveaways, entertainment and more. Following was a cup- cakes reception donated by sev- eral bakeries locally and abroad.
Mrs. Watkins has plans to continue this dream annually and due to the huge response, promises that next year will be even greater.
