SISTER JOSEPHINE MOSLEY ‘JOE’ FOLKS
A homegoing celebration for Sister Josephine Mosley “Joe” Folks who went home to be with her Savior on September 13, 2015 will be held at 11 a. m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 2504 Chipco Avenue, Tampa, with the Pastor Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Sr., offi- ciating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Sister Folks was preceded in death by: her mother, Hor- tense Walker Mosley; father, Fred Mosley; husband, Oscar Folks; brother, Fred Mosley, Jr.; stepmother, Llila Myrick Mosley; son, Ulysses Single- ton; and grandson, Ulysses Singleton, Jr.
She leaves to cherish memo- ries of her with: son, Charlie Joe Singleton and wife, Elena; grandsons, Darron L. Single- ton and Charlie J. Singleton, Jr.; granddaughters, Char- maine J. Singleton and hus- band, Bobby Hawk, and Elaine D. Singleton; great grandson, Darius Leshon Singleton; great granddaughters, Page Alani Singleton and Amayah Jade Singleton; sister, Leila Marie Mosley of Tampa; brother, Harold James Mosley and wife, Patricia of Crestview, FL; cousins, Kenneth Mosley, Chantel Mosley and family and Marcia Mosley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A native of Tampa, Sister Folks was the oldest girl of two girls and three boys born to the parentage of Fred Mosley, Sr. and Hortense Walker Mosley on December 31, 1930 in Tampa.
She was educated in the Hillsborough County School System.
Sister Folks was a faithful member of St. John Progres- sive M. B. Church where she was baptized at an early age in the 1960s.
Sister Folks was employed at Tropical Garment Clothing Factory, Nathan B. Young Jun- ior High School, lunch room from where she retired in 1993. Josephine loved bowl- ing, sewing and reading her Bible.
There will be a viewing on Friday September 18, 2015 from 5-8 p. m. with the family receiving friends in the chapel from 6-7 p. m.
Friends are asked to assem- ble at the church on Saturday at approximately 10:45 a. m. for the service.

MRS. ELIZABETH REESE PERSON
Funeral service for Mrs. Elizabeth Reese Person, affec- tionately known to everyone as, “Aunt Mickey” who fought a good fight, but lost her battle with lung cancer on September 12, 2015 will be held on Satur- day, September 19, 2015 at 2 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with Rev. W. D. Sims, officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by: her only brother, Wilbur Reese, Sr.; and husband, George Walter Person
Aunt Mickey never had any biological children; however, God had made it so for her to raise her brother’s two children, Wilbur and Wilette Reese. She also raised her niece’s children, Dwayne Mc- Clure, Shaun Cottrell Victoria and Harry Gardner.
She is also survived by her lifelong partner Uncle Doc; a host other nieces, nephews, cousins other family members and friends.
Aunt Mickey was born on September 10, 1928 in Manhat- tan, New York, to the late Charles Reese and Mattle Pringle Reese. Aunt Mickey grew up in Harlem New York where she graduated from high school.
She then studied nursing at Howard University. Aunt Mickey was an accomplished pediatric private duty nurse for over fifty years. She took care of many children of fa- mous parents including Don Rickles and some of his Holly- wood friends’ children. Aunt Mickey was a member of the Eastern Star.
She later married the late George Walter Person. She later met her lifelong partner, Raymond Eugene Hartley known to everyone as “Uncle Doc” and they were together for over fifty five years.
Aunt Mickey had a motherly heart she always made sure that everyone had a roof over their heads and warm food in their stomachs. Aunt Mickey loved to cook and also loved gardening.
There will be a viewing on Friday September 18, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wil- son Funeral Home.

MR. JAMES LOWERY
Funeral service for Mr. James Lowery who passed away on September 11, 2015 will be held on Saturday September 19, 2015 at 12 noon at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with Rev. W. D. Sims, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his brother, George Brown.
Mr. Lowery is survived by: his children, son, Johnny Lowery and wife, Lucette, daughters, Roni Lowery and Ronnelle Burley; grandson, Johnny, Jr.; granddaughter, Jodie Anderson, Erica Burley and Neariah Burley; sister, Ella Mae Harris; and special niece, Vivian Harris.
He is also survived by a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A native of Rochester, Georgia, Mr. Lowery was born on March 25, 1936 to the parentage of Annie Bell and John Lowery.
He moved to Tampa where he resided most of his life and attended Middleton High School.
Mr. Lowery met and later married his high school sweetheart, Mary Lowery, but later divorced. He was employed as a Longshoreman with ILA Local #1402.
There will be a viewing on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 10:00 a. m. - 12:00 noon at Wilson Funeral Home prior to his service.
Friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at approximately 11:45 a. m. for the service Saturday.

MRS. JANICE JONES
Funeral services for Ms. Janice Jones, who passed away September 4, 2015, in a local healthcare facility, will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 2 p. m. at True Holiness Church, 3800 N. Nebraska Av- enue, Bishop Alto Blanding, pastor. Pastor Jarvis Ball, pre- side, and Pastor Jimmie Solomon, eulogist.
Ms. Jones was born in Tampa, and attended the pub- lic schools of Hillsborough County.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Catherine Jones; grandmothers, Willie Lee Carter and Annie Lee Johnson; aunt, Bernice Boyd; and uncle, William Steward.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: children, Damion Jones, Theira Jones and Char- lie Jones, Jr.; aunts, Gracie Chambers, Cathy Johnson and Brenda McCormick; uncles, Leroy Johnson, Maurice John- son and Jimmie Dean John- son; nieces, Terica and Kieara; nephews, Kiebbler, Javon, Dana, Aaron, Christopher, Robert and Timon; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends. Special friends, Mrs. Patricia Walton Durham, Ft. Gordon, GA, and Mr. Mike Symes.
Visitation will be Friday, September 18, 2015, at Jackson Funeral Home, 4605 N. 34th Street, from 5-7 p. m.

Homegoing services for Ms. Jocelyn Vickers, who passed away on September 13, 2015, will be held on Saturday morn- ing, September 19, 2015, at 11 a. m. at New Dawn Restoration Center, 6616 East Chelsea Street, Tampa, 33610, with Pastor Julia McMillan, officiat- ing.
She was excited to celebrate her 49th birthday on Septem- ber 6th. She was a 1985 grad- uate of King High School. She was also a proud Wildcat of the Bethune Cookman University and a dedicated Tampa BCC Alumni.
She blessed the Tampa Com- munity for over 20 years carry- ing out her passion of taking care of Gods precious little ones, through her joyous own- ership of Genesis Learning Center, “Where your Child’s world begins”.
She learned how to praise and worship God at an early age through her “Grand Ma Easter,” while attending the House of God. She continued her faithful and committed walk with the Lord at New Dawn Restoration Center.
Joycelyn was preceded in death by: her mother, Mar- garet Wingfield; grandmother, Elizabeth Hogan; great grand- mother, Naomi Randolph; and godmother/aunt, Retha Hamilton and aunt, Celestine Kennedy.
She is survived by: father, Lester Vickers, Jr.; and brother, Demond Vick (Sylvia) Hubbard.
Joycelyn did not have any children of her own, but if she had, it would have been her nephew and niece, Jace and Jordan Hubbard.
She is also survived by: sis- ters, Lorshawn (Morris) Wind- less, Kimberly (Bobby) Vance, Traci (Chris) Boatwright, Michaela (Jerry) Collins, Megan Vickers, LeAnn Kelly and Aniya Vickers; baby brother, Langston; uncles, Clarence (Marva) Wingfield, Glen (Vanessa) Alexander, Floyd (Diane) Alexander, Linda (Riley) Mitchell, and Mildred (Lorenzo) Vickers; Janice Vickers; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of longtime friends.
Joyce is also survived by a host of beautiful children she loved and cared for at her day- care, to include her niece and nephew Jace and Jordan Hub- bard.
Visitation for Jocelyn D. Vickers will be held Friday evening from 5-8 p. m. at New Dawn Restoration Center, and on Saturday morning from 10- 11 a. m. The processional at the church will arrange at 10:45 a. m.
