Fourth Monthly Shuffleboard Tournament Held

Each month, the Shuffle- board Teams come together to square off for the Champi- onship title. And, last month was no different as the senior citizens met at Ragan Park Community Center for the showdown.
During this event, the Sul- phur Springs V.I.P.s, partici- pated in the tournament along with the Jazzy Seniors. The participants in the Shuf- fleboard Competition were: Steve Scott, Linda Cot- ney and Estelle Acree, who captured the first place winners award, Quency Jefferson and Katherine Palmer, who captured the second place winners honor, Carolyn Williams, Ada Luke, Sandra Mills, San- dra Flowers, Ruby Cut- ler, Willie Mae Gardner, Loretta Toombs, Jamie Dickenson, Ruby Epps, Paulette Andrews, and

which consists of senior citi- zens from throughout Hills- borough County, participates in a championship tourna- ment each month. The first and second place winners are awarded gift cards.
Steve Scott is the Direc- tor and Trainer of the Shuf- fleboard organization. He invites any seniors who wish to learn the game to contact
him.Scott teaches Shuffle- board on Mondays and Fri- days from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., at Ragan Park Commu- nity Center, 1200 E. Lake Av- enue. He also teaches the game at Cyrus Greene Com- munity Center on Thursday, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., and he holds training classes at Williams Park and Fair Oaks Community Centers.
