13th Annual Academic Awards Achievement Awards Ceremony Planned

On Sunday, May 26th, members of the community will gather at TPepin’s Hospi- tality Center, 4121 N. 50th Street, for the Men of Vision, Inc., 13th Annual Academic Achievement Ceremony. The event will take place from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
The theme for the Awards Ceremony is “Making A Change With The Man In The Mirror.” Men of Vision will recognize more than 100 young men for their academic achievements, community service, and leadership skills. The young men attend Hills- borough County Public and Charter Schools.

James Eliassaint-An- derson, who assumed the day-to-day operation of the organization from his father, Ross Anderson, and his leadership team will host the program. They are: Karring- ton Hickman, Antonio Owens, Wildens Cajuste, James Eliassaint-Ander- son, Timothy Noble, Mar- Qavius Noble, and Devin Johnson. They will be as- sisted by Ms. Latonya An- derson, principal of Jennings Middle School and the Award Committee Chairperson, along with Dr. Mary Wynn, Administrator at Legacy Preparatory Academy.

said, “We must honor those men that came before us and paved the way present and past.” He also believes that
this new generation of trail- blazers should be acknowl- edged.
Unlike in the past with the traditional program, under the leadership of Eliassaint- Anderson, the young men have invited Mayor Jane Castor and School District Superintendent Jeff Eakins.
