Motion Filed For Appeal Of Jail Term And Probation Termination For Meek Mill
HBCU drama The Quad on BET will be back for Season 2, but not without new staff members on board.
Earlier this year, Executive Producers Felicia D. Hen- derson and Rob Hardy sought to give back to next generation of Black leaders and excellence in the enter- tainment industry. They formed The Quad Internship Program, selecting 8 students out of 250 applications.
The selected students all hail from local Atlanta and Florida HBCUs including Florida A&M University, of which both Hardy and lead character, Anika Noni Rose are alums.
"We're starting with colleges and universities in the Atlanta University Center because The Quad is shot on their cam-
puses.
It's only fair that the stu-
dents here get first opportu- nity. They have been gracious and understanding as we in- convenience their lives in our efforts to add authenticity to our show," said Ms. Hender- son.
The students selected for the internship are: Maya Eaddy (Spelman College); Brandon Gilpin (Morehouse College); Nia Jones (Clark Atlanta University); Tr- ishunda Mooney (Clark At- lanta University); Kirsten Danielle Owens (Clark At- lanta University); Quenten McNair (Clark Atlanta Uni- versity); Denard Thomas (Florida A&M University); and Mykayla Williamson (Spel- man College).

be completely terminated. Meek is currently stuck in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day. His lawyers say
that prison officials are keep- ing him separate from the rest of the inmates for his safety, but they argue that he’ll be fine in gen pop. Meek’s lawyers also say being cooped up in solitary for so long is hindering his creativity.

Meek Mill is appealing his prison sentence and request- ing his probation to be termi- nated.
The new documents – which were filed in his home state of Pennsylvania on Wednesday (November 15) – Meek’s legal team argues that his two-to-four-year prison sentence is the result of a vendetta against him by Judge Genece Brinkley.
Meek Mill’s lawyers also argue that the two incidents Brinkley says constituted his probation violation – misde- meanor assault and driving recklessly – were dismissed charges and had already been dropped. The documents also reportedly cite Meek’s proba- tion officer testifying that the
