AIKENS
MRS. ELOUISE B. BYRON
A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Elouise B. Byron of Tampa, who passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, was held on Saturday, June 18th, 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Debra Comellas of New Testament Worship Center, officiated. The interment was held in Or- ange Hill Cemetery.
Elouise was born March 26, 1936 in Perry, Florida to the late Wade Gant and Ellen Terrell. The family later relo- cated to Tampa, where she was educated in the Hillsbor- ough County School System. She graduated from Middle- ton Senior High School, class of 1954 and was employed by the Hillsborough County School System as a school bus driver for 26 years, retiring in 1996. A devoted wife, mother and friend, she enjoyed gar- dening, traveling and spend- ing quality time with friends and family. She was also an avid fan of CNN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Bradley and grandson, Darius Ebanks.
Left to cherish her mem- ory, a loving and dedicated husband, Henry Byron, Sr.; children, Marcia Hair (Claude), Sallye Pierre-Louis (Claude), Patricia Byron and Marlene Jacobs; grandchil- dren, Carey Byron, Erica Hill, Precely Davis, III, Henry Davis, Sr., Tiffany Sierra, Patrick Pennington, Belaye Pennington and Marcus Fuller; brothers, Willie Ter- rell, Benny Gant and Earl Gant; sisters, Ruby Thomas and Jimmie Johns; sister-in law, Dr. Lorene Brown; nieces, Carla Thomas, Gay Byron, Toni Johns, Donna Steel, Carolyn Walden; nephews, Dennard Thomas, Darius Terrell, Ganius Byron, Khbero Baker, Eric Johns, Kenneth Johns and Rodney Johns; cousin, Betty Wright and a host of other relatives and friends.
The visitation was held at Aikens Funeral Home on Fri- day, June 17th from 5 to 8 p.m. Family and friends were asked to meet at Aikens Fu- neral Home Chapel on Satur- day for the homegoing service.
The repast was held at Fair Oaks Park Recreation Center located at 5019 N. 34th Street, Tampa, FL 33610.

MR. CLARENCE DAVIS
Mr. Clarence Davis of Washington, D. C. passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Fu- neral services will be conducted Saturday, June 25 at 11 a. m. at Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel, Howard University, Sixth and Howard Place, N. W. Washington, D. C.
Mr. Clarence Davis was a native of Port St. Joe, FL and a resident of Washington, D. C. He earned his B. S. degree from Florida Memorial University, Miami, FL and his M. A. degree from the University of the Dis- trict of Columbia.
He was an active member of Solid Rock Missionary Bap- tist Church, MD and the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. Mr. Davis retired as a Public Records Administrator for the District of Columbia Govern- ment.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. George Davis, Sr., and Mrs. Rosa Bess Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife, Bar- bara Harvey Davis of Washing- ton, D. C.; three sisters, Pearl Davis of Riverview, Leola Davis of Tampa, and Geraldine Leslie (Ronald) of Pensacola; one brother, Dr. George Davis, Jr., of Miami, FL; aunt, Cleo J. Bess of Port St. Joe, FL; nieces and nephews, Minister Eric L. Davis, Sr., of Palmetto, Cameron Leslie of Atlanta, GA, Charmain Leslie of Tampa, and Belicia Davis of Miami, FL; a host of great nieces and nephews, other sorrowing rela- tives and many friends.
Local visitation will be held Wednesday, June 22 from 6 to 7 p. m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. The visitation for Washington, D. C. will be held Saturday, June25at9a.m.untiltimeof service at 11 a. m. Phi Beta Sigma Service will be held at 10:30 a. m. The Port St. Joe, FL visitation will be held June 29 at11a.m.atZionFairM.B. Church, Port St. Joe, and the in- terment will follow in the For- rest Hill Cemetery, Port St. Joe.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that tribute donations be made to Florida Memorial University, Miami, FL in Clarence Davis’s Honor.

MR. JOHN THOMAS DODSON, SR.
Mr. John Thomas Dodson, Sr., the only son of the late Beat- rice Harris and John Henry Dodson, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016. Please join us in celebration of John’s life on Sat- urday, June 25, at 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue. The Burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., Tampa 33610 immediately following the service.
John was born on August 9, 1942. After a long illness, he is now resting in peace and at home with the Lord. John was a native of Tampa, graduating from Howard W. Blake High School in 1960. He continued his higher education at Eastern Illinois University, where he ob- tained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and then a Masters from Pepperdine University.
John proudly served his country for 26 years. He en- listed in the United States Air Force in 1962 serving on several bases in the United States as well as Germany, Japan, and Guam. He reached the rank of master sergeant prior to his honorable discharge in 1985.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Aselean Sheila Davis Dodson.
He is survived by: three sons, John Thomas Dodson, Jr. of Tampa, Christopher Thomas Dodson and wife, Dianne of Los Angeles, California, and Andre Thomas Dodson and wife, Molly Donahue of Tampa; and six grandchildren, John “The Magi- cian”, Eric Lee, and Elizabeth, all of Albuquerque, New Mex- ico, Olivia Angelique of Denver, Colorado, Isiah Thomas and Justine Aselean of Los Angeles, California, and Caitlin Acacia Donohue of Tampa.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 5 p. m. to 8 p. m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 North Howard Avenue, Tampa, Florida.

Local Pedestrian, Struck
By Vehicle At Busy Intersection, Dies
The Tampa Police Depart- ment is currently investigating a traffic accident that left a pedestrian dead. The accident took place at the intersection of W. Hillsborough Avenue and North Hesperides early Monday.
According to police, the ac- cident occurred around 5 a.m. One lane of W. Hillsborough Avenue was closed for several hours while the investigation was being conducted.
The pedestrian was a 54- year-old man. However, police have not released his name or the name of the driver in- volved in the accident.
The investigation is contin- uing.
