(Gerard Butler, Maurice Compte, Mo McRae). This well written, off -the-chain crime saga is well worth seeing for action fans. Check it out in the Dolby theater for the shoot out sounds. Director Christian Gudegast did a great job putting together this suspenseful thriller and the surprise ending. Must -see! Didn't feel like it was 2hrs/20mins long. Made $16M (budget N/A)- classic
Proud Mary - Mary (Tariji P. Henson) is a trained assassin for an organized crime family in Boston ( Danny Glover, Billy Brown) , when Mary’s life is completely changed when she finds an un- conscious boy (Jahi Di Allo Winston) laying in the street. Mary takes him in and all her problems start. Director Baba Najafi had a chance to make Henson into an action legend, but falls way short with too much dialogue between Mary and the disrepectful teen. Still the movie was slightly above average with Henson doing her best to save the film. Made $16M (budget- $14M)- **1/2
The Commuter - A former cop/ businessman (Liam Neeson) is caught in a criminal conspiracy during his daily commute home. Neeson has to find and kill the person the mob is looking for. Must admit that Neeson has the right formula for his action films. Really enjoyed this action-packed thriller of who is the person he’s looking for out of a hundred passengers. Must-see! Made $25M - (budget- N/A)- ****
Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle - Four teenagers discover an old video game console(Ju- manji) and are literally drawn into the game’s jungle setting, turning into the adult figures ( Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan) they choose to be. Action-packed but the storyline was weak. Hate to say it for a Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Jack Black film, wait for it on DVD. Still No. #1 at box office - $317M U.S./ foreign- $451M (budget-$90M)- **1/2
Star Wars: The Last Jedi - Director Rian Johnson starts the Last Jedi right where it left off with Rey (Daisy Ridley) struggling to get Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) to train her and return back to the Resistance. Meanwhile, The Resistance ( Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Carrie Fisher) prepares to do battle with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and the First Order. Definitely a must see for the Star Wars fans. Enjoyed it. 2hrs/32mins long. Made - $604M / foreign- $692M-(budget-N/A)- ****
Wonder - Based on the New York Times bestseller, WONDER tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of a kid, August Pullman (Jacob Tremblay) with facial differences, who enters the fifth grade at a elementary for the first time. His parents ( Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson) help him cope with the harassment of kids in the school. Director Stephen Chbosky directs a sleeper box office hit that inspires and may pull a tear out of you. Definitely, a must see for kids and parents. Made - $129M U.S./ foreign $118M - *****classic

Director Zack Snyder (The Man Of Steel, 300) did a great job keeping this action- packed thriller at a fast pace and the special effects were off the chain. The film features a special sur- prise that makes it worth going to see. Can't figure why this film received bad reviews, but it's a must-see for action fans. Check it out in Dolby or IMAX theaters for the sound. Made - $227M- U.S./ foreign- $427M- (budget- $180M)- **** and then some.
Thor: Ragnarok - In prison, the Almighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly contest against his former ally, The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). If Your Birthday Is Today: You are easygoing, fun-loving and enjoyable to be with. People like you. This is a time of completions, end- ings and taking inventory. Review past triumphs and failures as you fin- ish this nine-year cycle. Many will let go of people, jobs, places and things to move on to something new. You are moving away from heavy burdens to something new and lighter!
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): This is a fantastic day for research of any kind because you will find solutions and answers that you are looking for! Nothing will deter you. Any kind of research, investigative work or attempts to solve a mystery will be successful.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): You might attract pushy, opinion- ated people to you today. Or possibly, you become this way with a friend or a group to which you belong? Your discussions today will not be ca- sual. Au contraire! Everyone feels they have a lot at stake!
Aries (March 21-April 19): Be careful talking to bosses, parents and VIPs today because things are super intense! You might go out on a limb to bring a point home. Or someone in a position of authority will really tell you how it is. (Yikes!) This is a poor day to oppose others. Just listen.
Taurus (April 20-May 20): Do not get on your soapbox to ex- pound your opinions about politics, religion or race. Even though you believe in your point of view, you will likely arouse opposition to you! However, you will be able to study something with intense concentra- tion.
Gemini (May 21-June 20): Today you are determined to get to the bottom of something regarding taxes, debt, inheritances, insurance or even shared property. These issues might be up for debate or possibly an argument! Easy does it.
Cancer (June 21-July 22): Conversations with others are intense today! You will be persuasive; but so will they! If you disagree with someone, it will be a battle royal. Keep this in mind before you wade into the fray. Is it really worth it? If you can postpone testy discussions, do it.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22): You want to get to the truth of something at work today. You want to know the cause, the subtext, the reason why something is happening. Or perhaps the reason why something isn’t working? Be careful you don’t coerce others to your train of thought. Be reasonable.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Parents must be calm and gentle when talking to their kids today because this is the classic day for intense feel- ings that lead to hissy fits and meltdowns. Don’t even go there. The whole world is having an intense day today. People will argue because “they’re right.”
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Family discussions can go off the rails today, which is why this is a poor day to get cooperation from others. However, you can use today’s intense energy to focus on home repairs, especially related to plumbing, laundry areas and bathrooms plus any- thing to do with garbage and recycling.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): You are so persuasive today! You will convince others to agree with you even if you are wrong! You might want to think twice before you exhort others to adopt your ideas. Pos- sibly, you will attract someone to you who is equally opinionated. Look out world!
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): There is a lot of busy, intense en- ergy today. You can use it to get to the bottom of some kind of financial question or problem related to money or something you own. Note: If you discuss finances with someone, you might have an argument.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): There’s mucho intense, mental ac- tivity going on today! All your conversations with others will be to the point and penetrating, especially because you want to get to the bottom of things. You have the ability to influence others; make sure you use this wisely.
