Will Smith — whose son Trey played high school foot- ball with the sons of Joe Montana and Wayne Gret- zky — says he was initially looking for ways to avoid star- ring in controversial film “Concussion” on dangers of the sport.
Instead, meeting with foren- sic neuropathologist Omalu, who uncovered the prevalence of the brain disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) among football players, convinced him to sign on.
Reports previously alleged the upcoming movie was actu- ally altered to assuage the NFL. But Berg — who directed the 2004 movie “Friday Night Lights” and moderated a Q&A with Smith and director Peter Landesman — said,

Rihanna Expands Empire With New Company
Behold, the empire of Ri- hanna continues to grow!
The singer already has mul- tiple fragrances, a gang of multi-platinum albums, multi- million dollar endorsements, etc. Now, she’s launching a “beauty and stylist agency” called Fr8me.
The Hollywood Reporter- states that the agency will help artists in fashion and make-up with booking commercials, ed- itorial shoots, ad campaigns, and red-carpet gigs.
“Hair, makeup and styling play an important role in cre- ativity,” says Rihanna. “I am very involved with that part of my process, so this agency was an organic thing for me to do.” She continues, “We are lucky enough to have some of the best artists at Fr8me, but I also have a soft spot for find- ing new talent with extraordi- nary skills!”
The roster she speaks of con- sists of her own makeup artist Mylah Morales, Tarji P Henson’s stylist Jason Bolden, and stylist Marcia Hamilton, to name a few.

Her business partner Benoit Demouy says they’ll sign people with skills from so- cial media. “The industry’s changed so much—rates have gone down, and clients just grab images off social media, trying to bypass paying artists,” he said. “But we’re concerned with social media, too—we’ll take a makeup artist with 500,000 followers over someone else.”
This news comes after ru- mors that her album Anti has been pushed back to an un- known date, allegedly to avoid competing with Adele’s forth- coming album, 25.

Smith, who’s getting Oscar buzz, added, “The truth is that repetitive head trauma causes brain damage.” And, “I watch the game and ... if it’s not a concussive blow, you just dis- miss it, but . . . the problem is the repeated subconcussive blows.
T.I. and Tiny
A snapchat photo is circu- lating, leading some of us to question whether or not Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harrisis ex- pecting another child. Over the weekend, the former Xscape memberattended her friend and fellow bandmate, Kandi Burruss’ baby shower. One of Tiny’s relatives posted a snapchat photo of Tiny and Kandi with the caption:
The two preggers.
Tiny, 40, has yet to comment
on the speculation.
Judge Orders Tyga To Pay Blac Chyna’s Expenses
Tyga and BlacChyna
Vibe is reporting that Tyga is paying his baby mama, Blac Chyna’s rent and other ex- penses. The custody order, also points to Tyga providing for Blac Chyna in terms of paying car payments and nanny ex- penses. As the site reported back in April, the former strip- per-turned-business owner was seeking sole custody of King, but in light of her current fi- nancial agreement, the ex- lovers have worked out a deal that meets their individual needs.”
Right after Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Richard Pryor and other legends fin- ished filming the theatrical version of the Broadway phe- nomenon The Wiz, released in 1978, Motown Records sent Ross back to the studio to record an album of all of the musical’s songs — including those sung by her cast mates.
The album was to have been called “Diana Ross Sings Songs From The Wiz”, and was scheduled for release in early 1979 as a companion piece to the movie’s Quincy Jones-produced soundtrack album.
The film itself was mired in controversy before filming began, with critics savaging Motown for casting a 33-year- old Ross as the The Wiz’ 24-
year-old Dorothy.
The movie was generally
panned upon its release, and it under-performed at the box office. Motown subsequently cancelled the release of the companion Ross album.
With the passage of time, an- nual holiday showings on BET and other networks, and the deaths of most of the principal cast (including Michael Jackson in 2009), the the- atrical version of The Wiz is viewed differently today. As NBC readies a December 3 live broadcast of a new production of the musical, Motown Uni- versal has dusted off and re- mastered Ross’ original 1978 recordings. “Diana Ross Sings Songs From The Wiz” will be released, for the first time, on November 27.

Teddy Riley's daughters (sans Nia from Love & Hip Hop Hollywood) are following in his footsteps with their very owngirlgrouptitledRILEY. Members Deja Riley, Taja Riley, and Bobbie Riley have teamed up with 2 Chainz for their debut track, "Pound- FRANK."
The song (written by the girls in collaboration with award- winning songwriter Taylor Parks), carries militant per- cussion and is complimented by a snake-charmed guitar melody. In the girls' verses, you get a sense of confidence as they metaphorically reference money as the only men they
want in their lives.
Brought up in the Entertain-
ment industry by their father, legendary music producer/pio- neer of New Jack Swing, Teddy Riley, they've always been surrounded by great music, but officially formed as a girl group in 2010. Recently joining forces with a produc- tion team, "The Stereotypes" (2014), they started working on their debut music project.
After a year and some change, the girls are finally releasing a track off their EP Bermuda, scheduled to drop next year [2016]. Under their father's guidance,RILEYisreadyto make a name for themselves.
