MR. JAMES MITCHELL, JR.
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. James Mitchell, Sr., of Tampa FL, who passed away on Thurs- day, October 27, 2022, will be held on Thursday, November 10th, 10:00 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely officiating. The interment will fol- low in Florida National Cemetery.
James was born on May 9, 1951, in Tampa, Florida, to James Mitchell, Sr., and Lottie Kate Lane. His favorite activity was rid- ing motorcycles and vacationing in Daytona for “Bike Week.” James graduated from Middleton Senior High School, Class of 1969. In 1974, he joined the U. S. Air Force. He worked at the James A. Haley VA Hospital for 40 years and retired in 2017.
He was preceded in death by: his father, James Mitchell, Sr.; brothers, Charley and Robert Lee Mitchell; stepfather, Bernard Lane; grandfather, George Evans, Sr.; grandmother, Mary Lena Evans.

MR. DAX ERIC KIRKLAND, SR.
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Dax Eric Kirkland, Sr., of Tampa, FL, who passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022, will be held on Saturday, November 12th, 1:30 p. m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Overseer Cheryl Green, officiating. The interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Dax, affectionately nick- named, “Boo”, was born on March 17, 1972, in Tampa, Florida, to Willie Gene Kirkland and Mamie Williams. He was a native of the Tampa Bay area all his life and attended the public schools of Hillsborough County. He enjoyed working as an events coordinator at the University of Tampa and was an avid fisher- man for many years. He was the middle child of three and a won- derful son, and a devoted father to his three sons and loved his big brother, Kevin, and little sister, Krystal. He was caring and thoughtful of others before him- self and was known to be a joke- ster among his family and friends. He was a football fanatic and a die-hard Pittsburgh Steel- ers football fan, that he enjoyed since a young boy. He also en- joyed traveling and in his most re- cent years, he was able to sight-see our nation of US monu- ments, traveling coast to coast with his fiancée, Shameka Thomas, in which they enjoyed special moments together.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Mamie Williams; pops, Clarence James Williams; uncle, Larry Kirkland; aunts, Geraldene Kirkland, Irene Kirk- land, and Willene Kirkland.
He leaves to cherish his life and fond memories with: his bio- logical father, Willie Gene Kirk- land; brother, Kevin G. Williams (Rita); sister, Krystal D. A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. James Curtis Mond, Jr., of Tampa FL, who passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022, will be held on Saturday, November 12th, 4:30 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Tampa, FL 33610, Rev. Kendrix Gardner, officiating.
James, affectionately called by his middle name, “Curtis” was born on November 20, 1951, in Tampa, FL, to James C. Mond, Sr., and Marjorie Mond. He was known by many in Belmont Heights, and the surrounding areas, as a person who enjoyed life to the fullest. He attended Hillsborough County Public Schools, where he achieved many high academic honors, such as top of his graduating class at George S. Middleton Senior High School. He was a man that tried many ad- ventures and did things his way, no matter the situation. He loved to cook and always shared his food creations with the residents at the JL Young apartment com- munity. His favorite music was jazz and Mrs. Patti LaBelle. As a young man he accepted Jesus Christ into his heart and reaf- firmed his faith in Christ with everyone.
He leaves precious memories with: his daughters, Kischa A. Mond and Janelle C. Mond; grandchildren, Breseanna, Jathan, and Brian; great-grand- children, Keyshawn, Isaiah, and Kai’leena; brothers, Ronald Mond (Mathilda), and Michael Williams (Angela); sisters, Sabrina Larry (Marvin) and LaSharon Matthews (Michael); and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Timothy R. Patterson, of Las Vegas, Nevada, who passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022, will be held on Saturday, November 12th, 12:00 p. m., at St. John Pro- gressive MB Church, 1605 E. Timothy, affectionately nick- named “Tim”, was born on August 8, 1968 in Tampa, Florida to David and Emma Jean Patterson. He graduated from Tampa Bay Tech High School in 1986. Timothy worked for many years for Well- care/Allied Barton until his reloca- tion to Las Vegas.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Emma Jean Patterson; brother, Lamont Patterson; sister, Gwen Patterson; nephew, Kenneth Johnson, Jr.; and his grandpar- ents.

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, Deaconess Betty Helena Hollinger-Robertson, affection- ately nicknamed “Betty Boop”, found her eternal rest with the Lord. She was born in Blakely, Georgia, March 3, 1950, to par- ents Robert and Alma Hollinger. She will surely be missed by all.
Betty was preceded in death by: her husband, Luarthur Robertson, Sr.; parents, Robert and Alma Hollinger; brother, Bobby Hollinger, Sr.; and sisters, Cliffette Hollinger and Felice Hollinger-Brown.
