Senegal Wins; Pushing Its Only Black Coach In The World Cup Into Forefront
Aliou Cisse’s gestures and fist pumps have become meme on Twitter.
Gunshot Leaves Teen In Critical Condition
Senegal is sitting pretty after recently winning its World Cup match against Poland 2-1 on June 19th (Juneteenth). The team of African players aren't the only ones in the spotlight.
The team's manager, Aliou Cissé, has gotten at- tention for his enthusiastic displays of celebration as well as being the only Black man- ager at the 2018 world soccer championship in Russia, Balls.ie reported. Senegal used early momentum and a controversial goal to upset Poland, to pull into a first- place tie in Group H at the 2018 World Cup.
Cissé, representing West Africa's Republic of Senegal, the former English Premier League defensive mid-fielder did his best to keep his play- ers' attention during their upset of Poland, which came
into the match with a No. 8 FIFA ranking, but in doing so, he also caught the attention of Twitter.
With stern and steady fist pumps, meme-inducing head taps and something resem- bling tiger clawing, Cissé was the absolute star of the show for Senegal.
Despite making history, Cissé doesn't want to be the only one, of course. “I am the only Black coach in this World Cup. That is true,” he told the Associated Press be- fore Senegal's big game against Poland.
“But really these are de- bates that disturb me. I think that football is a universal sport and that the color of your skin is of very little im- portance.”
Unfortunately, Cissé is also the least paid, earning £174,500 ($229,853.14)

Man Found Guilty Of Killing Brother, Grandmother, And Girlfriend
  Kyrie Irving Seemingly
Among the dead were Mason’s 37-year-old girl- friend, Ms. Tarasha Yata Townsend, who was the mother of his two daugh- ters; his grandmother, who was 81-years-old, and Ralph Peyton, who was his brother.
Police said after the
shooting, Mason chased his brother, Gabriel Taylor, 33, to the corner, where he shot him several times.
As the crime unfolded, Mason was struck by a passing pickup truck and was transported to a local hospital. Once he recovered, he was arrested.

GEORGE MASON, III
A Hernando County jury found a man guilty of killing three people in 2014. One of the victims was his girl- friend.
George Mason, III,
46, was also found guilty of one count of attempted first- degree murder. The case is a death penalty case.
According to testimony, on August 29, 2014, Mason was convicted of a shooting rampage at the home where his mother, Ms. Tracy Taylor, his grandmother, Ms. Jannie V. Taylor, and his half brother, Gabriel “Bo” Taylor lived. Three people were fa- tally wounded.
Kyrie Irving played for several coaches who did not last very long in Cleveland, and it does not sound like the star point guard thought very highly of any of them.
In a recent appearance on
“The Bill Simmons Podcast,”
Irving had high praise for Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens. While there’s noth- ing wrong with a player show- ing support for his coach publicly, it’s hard not to feel like the comments included some subtle jabs at Irving’s former coaches.
“Brad is one of the most adaptable coaches I’ve ever been around. He’s highly intel- ligent about the game, about life. Talking to him is always awesome,” Irving said. “I just had dinner with him the other night. ... Talking basketball with him, it’s such a relief to have a basketball mind like that who has an appreciation

for the game. He doesn’t forget plays, knows when the shift in the game happens. We were going over things that could have been done differently this season, and it was a breath of fresh air talking to him.”
Since Irving described it as a “relief” that Stevens has a clue, it seems obvious that he was saying his past coaches didn’t. Those past coaches in- cluded Tyronn Lue, David Blatt, Mike Brown and Byron Scott.
