Funeral services were held for her on Saturday, April 2, at her home church, Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Insti- tutional Church in Lakeland.
Professionally, Mrs. Rosier was an instructor in Hillsborough, Polk, Palm Beach and Wakulla Counties. However, she is most known for her work religiously, train- ing young people in a godly manner. “She has given her life to children’s ministry, daugh- ter, First Lady Vanessa Banks stated.
Mrs. Rosier served in nu- merous capacities on the local, state and national levels – Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Association, Progressive M&E Baptist State Convention and the National Baptist Convention of America International, Inc.
Retiring as an educator in the school district in 2000 gave her more time to spend with the young people she enjoyed working with. She is known for the group of young men she mentored from childhood to adulthood who were referred to as ‘her boys.’
“She would not rest until ‘her boys’ became youth presi- dents, pastors or ministers, serving in some capacity on all 3 levels of the Baptist associa- tions,” Mrs. Banks said.
Rev. Larry L. Roundtree, II, pastor of New Mt. Zion M. B. Church, Tampa, was one of those she mentored and counseled.

MRS. ELIZABETH WEAVER ROSIER
5:10, Paul tells Timothy to pay special homage to the elder women of the church. How- ever, there were several re- quirements before a woman was deemed worthy of honor.
“According to the verse, the elderly women must have been well reported for good works; brought up children, lodged strangers, washed the saints’ feet, relieved the afflicted and diligently followed every good work.”
He continued, “Elizabeth Rosier was a woman who was definitely worthy of honor. Mrs. Rosier’s influence looms large in the lives of countless men, women, boys and girls throughout this state and nation. She was the epit- ome of commitment, faith and spirituality. I among a myriad of others, have been greatly blessed by the encouragement, guidance and prayers of this great woman of God!”
Some of the others who were under her tutelage are: Rev. Drayon Bland, Rev. Harold Bennett, (Esq.), Rev. Darriel Brown, Rev. Marcus Stovall, Rev. Harold Anderson and Rev. Hugh Stafford (Moderator in Training).
