MS. CHEROIDA LASHAWN HARRIS
A homegoing celebration of life for Ms. Cheroida LaShawn Harris, who passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant M. B. Church, 2002 N. Rome Ave. Tampa, FL with Dr. C. T. Kirkland, officiating. In- terment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 East Hanna Ave., Tampa.
Ms. Harris was preceded in death by: her father, Grady McGill, Jr.; grandparents, Willie Harris, Susie Gamble, Grady McGill, Sr. and Lubetha McGill.

MS. NETTIE FAYE JAMES
Ms. Nettie Faye James of 3905 W. Pine Street, Tampa, 33607 passed away September 19, 2016. Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, October 1, at 11 a. m. at Mt. Tabor M. B. Church, 2606 W. Grace Street. with Rev- erend T. D. Leonard, Pastor, offi- ciating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Sister James was a native of Georgia and a resident of Tampa for over 80 years. She attended school in the Hillsborough County School District and grad- uated from Middleton High School.
Upon graduation, she at- tended a Mortuary Science school in Atlanta, Georgia, where she earned her Licensed Funeral Di- rector Certification. She was em- ployed by Franklin Funeral Home of Tampa, for many years. Additionally, she was employed by the School District of Hillsbor- ough County as a Food Service Coordinator.
After retirement, she owned and operated a Child Care Pro- gram in her home. Sister James was a loyal, faithful and devoted member of Mt. Tabor M. B. Church, where she sang in Choir Number One and Mass Choir Ministry.
Ms. James was preceded in death by: her parents, Mr. An- drew James, Jr. and Mrs. Fannie Lee James; daughter, Fannie Mae James; grandson, Albert Rice, Jr.; four brothers, Willie B. James, Melvin James, Robert Lee James and Andrew James; four sisters, Betty Lou Stanley, Dorothy Lee James, Marjorie James, and Helen Jones.
Ms. James leaves to cherish loving memories with: two sons, Albert Rice, Sr., and Nelson James; three granddaughters, Renay Okeke, Towanda James- Speights, and LaTonya Rice; spe- cial granddaughter, Brittney Morris (Nick); two grandsons, Lester B. Franklin, Sr. (Sherica), and Nelson Milton; great grand- children, Rochelle Franklin, Lester B. Franklin, Jr., Reginald Pinkney, James Robinson, Lexus Franklin, LaTrenda Franklin, Lester B. MR. ELI JOHNS ‘SPOKE’
Mr. Eli Johns, affectionately known as “Spoke,” of 10921 N. 29th Street, passed away on Sep- tember 23, 2016. Funeral serv- ices will be conducted Saturday, October 1, 2016, 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Rev- erend Zachary Hudson of Re- Birth Missionary Church, officiating. The interment will be conducted on Monday, Octo- ber 3, at 11 a. m. at Florida Na- tional Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
Mr. Johns was a native of Florida, and a resident of Tampa for nearly 70 years. He graduated from Howard W. Blake in 1965, and voluntarily enlisted in the U. S. Army, where he served as a Pipeline Constructor Inspector, served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded a purple heart. After being honorably discharged from the military, he attended community college where he studied engineering and worked as a commercial truck driver.
He was preceded in death by: his loving parents, Rube and Alice Johns; devoted wife, Joyce Johns; brothers, Willie Johns, Robert Johns and James Johns; sisters, Doris Taylor, Lorine Berry, Katherine Burr and Rosa Lee Smalls.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Sab- rina (Gordon) Lewis of Dou- glasville, GA and Tamica Prevost of Snellville, GA; grand- daughter, Shanikia Griffin; grandsons, Laurence Prevost and Princeton Fruster; sisters, Minnie Hobley and Meraldine Banks; sisters-in-law, Earnes- tine (Joe) Riley and Deborah (Donald) Caldwell; brothers-in- law, Alton (Margaret) Walker, Arthur Tolbert, Jr. and Lorenzo Tolbert; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other caring rela- tives, some dear family friends, Mildred Bennett, Harold Smith; and friend, Eric Beasley; and a long list of neighborhood friends whom will miss Eli’s generous heart immensely be- cause he gave to all in need.

MRS. ROSE WHITE SULLIVAN
Mrs. Rose White Sullivan of Tampa passed away Monday, September 26, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted Sat- urday, October 1, at 2 p. m. at Speak Life Church, Inc., 1707 W. Clifton Street, Tampa, with Pastor Laura Ann Hargrove, officiating.
Mrs. Sullivan was a native and resident of Tampa. She at- tended St. Peter Claver Catholic School and Howard W. Blake High School. Mrs. Sullivan was a member of Speak Life Church, but also at- tended Allen Temple A. M. E. Church with her family. Her employment history included Toll Collector, Playground Su- pervisor and lastly, Goodwill.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two children, Jamie S. Cortez and Frederick J. Sul- livan; sister, Lois W. Nimmons (James); brothers, Benjamin White (Ernestine), George White (Betty) and Joseph White; seven grandchildren, Rashad, Rashima, Rashaunna, Brandon, Jermaine, Imani and Felicity; three great- grandchildren,Alaila,Jordan and Deshawn; a special cousin, Roosevelt White; a lov- ing, caring and loyal friend, Wesley Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, other rela- tives, church members and friends.

MRS. VIVIAN CHRISTINE WILSON
Mrs. Vivian Christine Wilson of Tampa, passed away Thurs- day, September 22, 2016. A homegoing service will be con- ducted Saturday, October 1, at 11 a. m. at The Church of God of Prophecy, 107 S. Oregon Avenue, Tampa, Pastor Nathaniel Forbes with Martha Deveaux, officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Vivian Christine Wilson was born on May 18, 1939, in Tampa, to the late James M. Wat- son and Johnnie Lee Watson. She was a resident of Tampa for 77 years and enjoyed her career as a Certified Nurses’ Assis- tant/HHA Private Duty. She was a faithful member of The Church of God of Prophecy.
She leaves to cherish her memory: eight loving children, Zakiyyah Aquil, Willie Evans, Barbara Lowman, Vanessa Ran- som, Calvon Davis, Calvin Wil- son, Lawrence Wilson and Larry Wilson; grandchildren, Buye Aquil, Shaka Aquil, Omowale Henderson Tamaka Lowman, Nathaniel Lowman, Jr., Teddrick Dampier, Otis Dampier, Kashay Natiel, Minqui Natiel, Nakita C.
