‘Family Blessing’ Holiday Extravaganza Set For December 23rd
‘The Family Blessing’ Holiday Extravaganza will be presented on Saturday, December 23, 2017 with 2 performances – 2:30 p. m. and 7:30 p. m.
Presented by Artz 4 Life Academy, the production will be held at Mahaffey Theater, 400 1st St. So., St. Petersburg, FL 33701.
Having been presented for the past 19 seasons, the production weaves ballet, Hip Hop, jazz, tap, African Dance, Salsa, Mexican Folklorico, Brazilian Samba and Bollywood dance into an exotic tapestry of light, color music and movement.
The production tells the story of a young girl, Aliyah’s journey to find in- spiration, love and hope for her grandmother, Zola.

cial guest star this year will be Paul Anthony, Grammy Award-winning
singer and producer of the R&B and Hip Hop group, Full Force. In addition to his musical career, he is a member of the National Board of Moffitt Cancer Foundation. Jai Hinson is the creator and director of ‘Family Blessing.’
The principal character in the production will be played by Pharyn Mc- Crae, an 11-year-old stu- dent at Plato Academy in St. Pete. Sir Brock Warren is the principal choreogra- pher and artistic coordina- tor for the production. Brianna Reed, a former youth cast member now professional dancer, will be honored with a Key to the City, presented by the Mayor.
