When I Have Anxiety, Fear, And Discouragement
Lord, I know Your thoughts toward me are of peace, to give me a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11) I know that You have saved me and called me with a holy calling, not according to my works, but according to Your own pur- pose and grace (2 Timothy 1:9) Thank You, Holy Spirit, that You are always with me and will guide me on the path so that I won’t lose my way. Give me great faith so that I am planted strong in You and not tossed about by the winds of fear, anxiety, or discouragement I reach out for Your hand today so I can walk with You into the future You have for me.
Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing, to de- clare that the LORD is upright. PSALM 92:13-15
When I Become Sick Weak, Or Injured
Lord, I lift up to You my affliction this day (name it be- fore the Lord), and I ask You to take it away. I thank You for Your grace and mercy toward me. I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up. O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me (Psalm 30:1-2). Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who for- gives all your iniquities, who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:2-3). Should You decide not to heal me in the way and time I desire, I trust that You will bring good out of my suf- fering and that it will glorify You.
Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise. JEREMIAH 17:14
I praise you, Jesus. I exalt and thank You that You are my Healer. Thank You for dying for me on the cross, for bearing the consequences of my sin in Your body. You are greater than anything I face or suffer, and I thank You that in Your name I can find healing. Your power is unlimited. I know that if You heal me, I will be healed completely. Thank You that You will rise up with healing for those who fear Your name (Malachi 4:2). Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; and in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge until these calamities have passed by (Psalm 57:1).
He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions. PSALM 107:20

Walmart Building Massive Distribution Center In Polk County
At least 300 and up to 625 jobs with an aver- age annual wage of $42,087, will be created when Walmart Stores Inc. builds a massive distribution center in Davenport.
Construction costs and equipment for the new center is expected to generate $206.8 million in capital invest.
Polk Commissioners are set to consider a 10- year tax abatement request from the retail giant at the board's monthly meeting Tuesday.
According to reports Walmart is proposing two buildings, each between 900,000 and 1 mil- lion square feet, at the intersection of U.S. High- way 27 and Waverly Barn Road.
The exemption from property taxes would allow the company to save $1.2 million this fiscal
year and $2.3 million in the next fiscal year, ac- cording to documents.
Construction will begin within the next few months. The facility is set to begin operating by the third or fourth quarter of 2016.
Confederate Flag Resolution Sparks Controversy Among Educators’ Association Delegates
National Education Asso- ciation delegates adopted a new business item directing the union to "find appropri- ate and effective efforts to re- move the confederate battle flag from schools and public spaces."
This seems pretty straightforward, right? It was not. Debate on the item went on for an hour and a half.
Originally, the item would have also extended to "other
symbols of the Confederacy," leading some delegates to question whether it would include war memorials for confederate soldiers, statues,
exhibits, and state flags (like Mississippi's) that incorpo- rate Confederate flags. In the end, that language was deleted.
Florida Teachers To Get $10,000 Bonus If They Had High Test Scores
Florida teachers may be eligible for bonuses of up to $10,000 if they scored well on their SAT or ACT college entrance exams, no matter how many years ago they took them.
The state's new budget, which went into ef- fect July 1, provides $44 million for "highly ef- fective" teachers to get bonuses if they scored in the top 20 percent of students who took the test when they did. It applies to both district and charter school teachers.
If more than 4,400 teachers apply, the state would make the reward smaller but wouldn't change eligibility criteria.
The idea for the bonus came from State Rep. Erik Fresen, R-Miami, who told the Legislature that "multiple studies indicate stu- dents learn more from teachers who achieved high SAT or ACT scores" and that such teach- ers should be rewarded.
Teachers will have until Oct. 1 to submit high school transcripts or other proof of their test scores, although districts are waiting to
hear from the state before they start accepting applications. Teachers can obtain their old SAT or ACT scores by visiting the College Board's website at https://sat.collegeboard.org/scores/send-old- sat- scoreshttps://sat.collegeboard.org/scores/sen d-old-sat-scores. The cost is $31. Or they can request a transcript from their high school.
The state Department of Education is re- quired to submit the money to districts by Feb. 1.
