Talladega College Opening The Final 2 Of 3 New Buildings On Campus
 In January, 2020, the second and third new build- ings will open on the cam- pus of HBCU Talladega College, in Talladega, Ala- bama.
On January 31, 2020, a ribbon-cutting will be held for the Dr. William R. Har- vey Museum of Art, which will house six critically-ac- claimed Hale Woodruff murals, valued at $50 mil- lion, including the renowned Amistad Murals.
To finance construction of the museum, Talladega’s president, Dr. Billy Hawkins secured Tal- ladega’s largest-ever finan- cial gift, a $1M donation from alumnus Dr. William R. Harvey (president of Hampton University and owner of Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company in Michigan). Dr. Hawkins also secured a $1.5 million contribution from Alabama Governor, Kay Ivey and the State of
Alabama.
The second new building
is the Student Center.
The center is a 47,000
square-foot facility that in- cludes a 2,000-seat gymna- sium, dining hall, full kitchen, concession stand, coffee lounge, convenience store, fitness area, and multi-purpose rooms.There is also a health care clinic and a large convocation cen- ter with breakout rooms.
In January 2019, a new
    MUSEUM AND STUDENT CENTER
Residence Hall was opened. It features 103 suites for ap- proximately 201 students, group study rooms and lounges, and energy-effi- cient features, such as LED lighting and access control cards for entry.
The residence hall was the first of three major con- struction projects that were completed on the College campus in 2019.
Talladega College had record-breaking enrollment numbers for the 2018-2019 academic year, enrolling 1,200 students. The College is listed among the Prince- ton Review’s 2018-2019 best colleges in the South- east and named one of U. S. News and World Report’s 2019 best regional colleges and best HBCU’s.
Talladega College re- cently launched its first-ever graduate program, a Master
of Science in Computer In- formation Systems with an emphasis available in cyber- security or health informat- ics.

Harmon, Dr. Kevin Scott, Dr. Paul Sheehy, Jr., Loretta Jackson, Pamela Pollock, La- Verne Latson, Mary Ann Hobley, Harry L. Har- vey, Sherman Upshaw, Victoria Thomas Rogers, and Gwen Bates.
