   Organize Florida Legislative Action Training

 Tampa’s Otis Anthony, Jr. And Rufus ‘Jabo’ Lewis Among 2020 Honorees At 35th Anniversary MLK Awards Banquet
 The nationally renowned Full Gospel’s Apostle Car- los Malone of The Bethel Church of Miami, Florida, will open up MLK Week in Florida as the keynote speaker for the MLK Holiday & Legacy Association, Inc. and the National Christian League of Councils’ (NCLC’s) 35th Anniversary Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drum Major for Justice Lifetime Achieve- ment & Legends Awards Banquet in St. Petersburg.
NCLC’s National Direc- tor, Sevell Brown, III, states, “Apostle Malone will provide us information with some inspiration to help us get to our destination!!!” Rev. Robert Ward states, “Our caliber of keynote speakers for 35 years have featured the former lieu- tenants of Dr. King and Apostle Carlos Malone most certainly is on the same level of great orators that have spoiled the St. Peters- burg community over the last

The 2020 honorees are: Tampa Civil Rights Activist, the late, Otis Ronnie An- thony, Jr.; Minson Rubin, Founder of the

Gibbs Gladiators Hall of Fame and Gibbs High School Alumni Association; Rufus “Jabo” Lewis, retired offi- cer of Tampa Police Depart- ment, and the Co-Founder of both Gibbs High organiza- tions; and Professor Paul Adams, Retired Associate Director of Bands at Norfolk State University. They will be the recipients of the “2020 35th Anniversary Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drum Major for Justice Lifetime Achieve-
ment & Legends Award In Civil Rights.”
