Man Pleads Guilty In $400,000 Tax Fraud Case
A 38-year-old man is fac- ing time in federal prison in connection with a tax fraud case. He pleaded guilty to theft of government funds and aggravated identity theft.
According to facts pre- sented at a plea hearing last Friday, Antwan Miller, of Tampa, participated in a scheme to file false federal income tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service. During the time period be- tween January 2012 and Sep- tember 2014, Miller and others, filed the fraudulent

returns which generated the deposit of large refunds onto
debit cards. Miller, who had possession and control of the cards, obtained nearly $400,000 as a result of the scam.
Miller and his co-con- spirators would withdraw the money from ATMs and at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino.
In addition to a maxi- mum of up to 10 years in fed- eral prison, Miller is also facing a mandatory two-year, consecutive term for identity theft. A sentencing date has not been set in the case, offi- cials said.
Teen Driver Facing Vehicular Homicide In Deadly Crash

An 18-year-old high school student was arrested in connection with a fatal traffic accident. The charge stems from a crash that took place more than a year ago.
According to police, Dylan Pulaski was taken into custody Monday and charged with 1 count of vehic- ular homicide. He was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail and his bond was set at $25,000.

driven by Pulaski. The acci- dent took place on Cooper Road at the intersection of Knights Griffin Road, in Plant City.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, who investi- gated the accident, said Pu- laski was traveling at a high rate of speed when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
Ms. Hutchison died at the scene. Pulaski, then 17, of Tampa, recovered from life-threatening injuries he received in the accident.
$25,000 Reward Offered For Information On Missing Teen
The reward being offered for information on a missing Sarasota teenager has in- creased.
The Sarasota Police De- partment, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Tampa Division, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Sarasota Police Department are offering a reward of $25,000 for information lead- ing to the location and recovery of 14-year-old Jabez Spann.
The Federal Bureau of In- vestigation, Tampa Division, is contributing $19,000 to the previous $5,000 offered by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the $1,000 being offered by the Sarasota

sota Police Department are continuing their search for the 14-year-old who has been
missing since Labor Day, Sep- tember 4th. He was last seen in the 1500 block of 23rd Street, in Sarasota.
Spann is described as a Black teenager, 5’9” and weighs 120 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a turquoise shirt.
A Missing Child Alert was issued by the Florida Depart- ment of Law Enforcement on September 18th.
