Teen Posts Snapchat Video After
   Fatally Stabbing His Stepdad
Nickolas Vinson, his mother and his stepdad Oscar Lamar Owensby.
A Colorado teen who had been asked by his stepdad to do chores around the house and contribute financially, al- legedly took a seven inch blade and stabbed the man seven to nine times.
The 19-year-old Aurora man allegedly stabbed his stepfather and then recorded the last moments of the man’s life in a Snapchat video taken as he bled to death.
“Hey guys I just killed him. I just killed him. I just killed him,” Nickolas Khalil Vin- son could be heard saying in the video. A man was face down, covered in blood. A woman kneeling next to the man was screaming, “Lemar, can you hear me? Can you hear me? No!” The video than panned back to the person making it, identified as Nick Vinson.
Nick Vinson had shared the video with friends on the social media platform.
Aurora police later charged him with first-degree murder in the stabbing of his 50-year- old stepfather, Oscar Lemar
Owensby.
Owensby was the com-
mon-law spouse of Celena Vin- son, the woman seen kneeling in the Snapchat video. She is the biological mother of Nick and his 15-year-old brother, Kyle. The Vinsons had lived with Owens by for 14 years.
Nick Vinson called his brother just before 7 p.m. Fri- day and told him that he had just stabbed their stepdad be- cause Owensby “wanted to throw him out of the house,” according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
Celena Vinson, who wit- nessed the stabbing, called po- lice, the affidavit says.
A policeman called Nick Vinson, who allegedly admit- ted killing his stepfather and said he had driven away from their home in his mother’s Ford Explorer. He told police he was looking for his friends so he could say goodbye and tell them he would be away for a long time, the affidavit says.
He told the officer he would drive home, but police stopped him before he got to the house.
