Pioneering Hip Hop Lawyer/Podcaster ‘Combat Jack’ Loses Cancer Battle
‘Black Panther’ Movie
The Hip-Hop community is mourning the passing of veteran lawyer/podcast host Reggie "Combat Jack" Osse.
Combat Jack announced he was fighting colon cancer in Oc- tober, after a hiatus from his long running podcast "The Com- bat Jack Show.”
He revealed to his audience that he was rushed to the hospi- tal for emergency surgery and had since been undergoing chemotherapy.

Black Panther, the 2018 Marvel movie directed by Fruitvale Sta- tion and Creed’s Ryan Coogler, in a new music video for “LOVE,”. It’s a quick snippet found smack-dab in the middle of the video.
Lamar’s participation in Black Panther isn’t surprising to those who attended Marvel’s San Diego Comic-Con Hall H panel earlier this year. The ex- clusive clip that Marvel brought along for fans included a trailer set to Lamar’s “DNA,” a popu- lar song off his most recent album, Damn.
Black Panther’s connec- t i o n to Lamar’s work goes be- yond the artist’s commercial and critical success. Both Coogler and actor Chadwick Bose- man (who plays Black Panther in the film) said they felt a per- sonal attachment to “DNA,” leading to its appearance in the trailer.

We haven’t received any hints as to what Lamar’s new song for Black Panther will sound like, but considering the music he’s known for and the theme of Black Panther, it’s not too far of a stretch to expect another gen- erational anthem.
Black Panther will be released on Feb. 16, 2018.
